From 27-29 July 2009, 5 members of our project team will visit the largest Aquatic Warbler breeding
site in Belarus together with our colleagues from APB-BirdLife Belarus who are coordinating Aquatic
Warbler conservation in this country.

 male wearing a French ring was found and caught at a newly discovered site in Middle Bug Valley near Dorohusk, on 20 June. The bird was ringed in Brittany, France, at one of the main stop-overs on the species migration route, one year earlier.

There was a new breeding site with 48 singing males found at the end of May. The birds were discovered on managed floodplain meadows in the Bug valley near Dorohusk, at the Polish-Ukraine border.

The third Best Practice Workshop took place from 22-24 October 2008 in Kostrzyn, in the
headquarters of the Warta Mouth National Park, a site in western Poland, that holds Aquatic
Warblers of the Pomeranian population, but is not included as a project site within the LIFE Project.
