Implementation of the project will lead to the focusing of attention on the need for Aquatic Warbler protection and winning the support of all involved groups, on a local, national, and international scale.
Management plans for all potential Aquatic Warbler sites will be implemented on the nine project sites (totalling 42000 ha). As a result, 3000 ha will be effectively managed - 1500 ha on sites currently supporting Aquatic Warblers and recreation of 1550 ha of additional, potential sites in Pomerania and near Biebrza. It is expected that the population of Aquatic Warbler will increase by 15% on the Biebrza area included in the project.
During the project, the number of occupied sites will increase from 6 to 7 in Pomerania. The techniques of recreation and the methods of management will become models and will be applied in the future both within and outside the European Union.
The recreated and improved sites, appropriate management plans, and sustainable methods of management for Aquatic Warbler will be the basis for the future development of the Aquatic Warbler population after the end of the project.
