The Biebrza Marshes are inhabited by over 80% of the Polish and 25% of the world population of the species.
Unfortunately, outside the National Park, the Aquatic Warbler is still endangered and this is why we need to buy the land there to create three new nature reserves with the purpose of managing them for the Aquatic Warbler...

Governments of Aquatic Warbler range states congratulate on conservation success at Biebrza
Government representatives of 12 countries comprising the migratory range of the Aquatic Warbler (Acrocephalus paludicola), have passed a formal resolution congratulating the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds (OTOP) and the Biebrza National Park for the outstanding nature conservation success they have been able to deliver at the Biebrza Marshes through the implementation of a large project targeting the conservation of the Aquatic Warbler, Poland’s biggest ornithological gem.
The conference aimed to explain and present the work and achievements of the project, that is largely funded by the EU LIFE Programme....

EU approved new International Aquatic Warbler Species Action Plan!
The new International Species Action Plan for the Aquatic Warbler (AW SAP) was placed for downloading on the EU Commission's website.
